Why have I received a bill from both Pathology Services and my physician for these pathology services?
Our laboratory often provides the specialist’s office with slides made from their patient’s biopsies. The specialist’s office has their own pathologist who reads and interprets the slides. Therefore, both the practice and our laboratory submit a bill to your insurance carrier for services each has rendered. Consequently you may receive a bill from both parties for a copayment, co-insurance, or deductible.

How do I pay my bill for Pathology Solutions?
Payments can be made by contacting our billing department Monday through Friday 8:00am to 8:00pm EST. at 877-448-8660 and follow the prompts to ensure that your payment is posted properly to your account. Your patient account # will be on the statement that you received from us.

How do I know if my insurance has paid on Pathology Solutions charges?
Most insurance companies will provide a patient with an Explanation of Benefits (EOB) after they have made payment to a medical provider. Please check your records. If you have not received an EOB, contact your insurance carrier at the 800 number on the back of your insurance identification card to obtain a copy for your records.

What do I do if I have secondary insurance?
If your specialist provided us with secondary insurance information we will bill them. If you do not see their payment indicated on your statement please contact our billing office with the insurance information, we will be happy to submit our bill to them for you.

Why have I received a bill for the same amount that I just paid?
Payments are typically posted within 48 hours of their receipt. But, it is possible that your payment and our statement crossed in the mail. Please check with your bank or credit card company to see if your payment has been processed.

How will I get my pathology results?
Your doctor will contact you with the results of your biopsy.
